As the owner of the iPhone in the area south of San Francisco, I am only too aware of AT & T coverage problems. There are three spots on my daily commute where my calls have stopped falling, and I barely get a signal in my house. I was curious to know whether Wilson could help the MobilePro. The short answer: it does the job as long as you install it properly.

The MobilePro Wilson is designed to improve coverage in your car or your house (compatible with major airlines, but check compatibility before buying).
The package contains everything you need to install it in two places: a magnetic antenna on the outside of your vehicle, a suction cup antenna support for the house, an adhesive mount for attaching the device your vehicle, USB / mini USB cable, cigarette lighter / USB adapter (for using the car) and an adapter 110/USB (domestic). It also comes with a zipper pocket for all practical items.

install the device in the car is very easy, but you need to plan ahead if you want to run cables neatly. You'll probably want to buy a cigarette lighter adapter for multiple arc one of the few available connections to avoid using a USB instead of several.
You can locate the most close to your phone possible (one foot or less works best) and the antenna as far from the area as possible. If the separation between the antenna and the box is not enough, the unique light of the Orange Box instead of green light. It is green when the problem is resolved.
The antenna attaches easily to the roof of your car with a powerful magnet, you run the cable in the car and connect it to the box. The simple instructions are easy to follow and most people should be able to install it in less than 10 minutes.

In a few weeks I had to try the machine I saw a marked improvement in call quality and a dramatic drop in demand has fallen. Obviously can not lead to a signal where there is none, but as a signal, you can use.

There are few areas where I think this product can be improved. The first home dual use of car / and even though both applications are supported, the mountains and the antennas designed niet om a simple, dagelijkse task over done but apparently the fabrikant aan op to save a SKU. It would be nice if it comes with two antennas, two power cables, and two docks, one for home and one for the car.
Another limitation is the length of the string provided. Even if they are sufficient for most sedans, the owners of large vehicles may need a longer cord to buy - or to find an antenna with a longer cord.

The MobilePro Wilson is a well designed, easy to install kit that works well. If you live in an area of low signal and dropped connections are often, it's worth a try. It can also be very useful for improving the signal to an agency (but note that its scope is very limited).

Great product, highly recommended.Rating: 5 / 5

I tried the Wilson Pro Mobile in an area that is the ideal market for the signal from the mobile phone to encourage. My city is hilly, has many tall buildings, and there are a large number of wireless users. Therefore, the coverage of the signal here is very uneven and can vary considerably within a few meters.

What it can do:
* Extension of a cellular signal from a relatively strong to the weak sector. For example, if a piece is covered on the outside of stable cells, the Mobile Pro can be used for mobile phone use in an adjoining room with low coverage possible.
* Increase the likelihood of a stable cell signal while traveling in a vehicle. I have not tested this use.

What it can do:
* Make a cell phone coverage where n 'there is none.
* cover a large area with a strong cellular signal.

What it really?
* Yes, we both realistic expectations. As long as users remain close to the amplifier (eg within 3 or 4 meters) and the antenna has access to a stable signal, the Mobile Pro works well. On the other hand, the unit will not provide a mobile wireless phone functionality with the ability to walk into an office or an entire house, or generating a "5-bar signal quality from" a weak signal source .

Other comments:
* The amplifier box is made of brittle plastic. It probably will not survive a long drop on a hard surface without cracking or peeling.
* Accessories, including the antenna and the window bracket, are robust and well made.
* A clearly written and coordinated support is included.

Bottom line: I found Pro-Mobile is useful to the cell signals in a room with a decent coverage in an unstable region and coverage in another area to expand. Do not expect miracles, but to create a strong signal into a zone of death compensation or network congestion. I love the ability to amp runs from three sources of different energy sources: AC, USB and cigarette lighter vehicle. quibble My only thing is that the amplifier case seems a bit weak, especially for use in traffic .. May 3 stars.

(And no, not this amp to eleven. In fact there are no buttons at all.)Rating: 4 / 5

Abstract
The MobilePro, such as mobile signal boosters must be understood for what it is and not meeting expectations in line with reality. It is best achieved by reading the instructions and also by reading this review and a post I made about a point fixed point set a few years ago (YX-500 PCS Wireless Extender zBoost Cell Phone Signal Booster to 2500 square meters of coverage for home or office (1900 MHz phones)). The title of this research was "Well if you all directions (and also mine). Taken in this context is the MobilePro is what it is supposed to do, that helps to bring cellular signals low or lokaal a few meters blocked from your mobile phone. Perhaps the correct name for a device like this is the signal relay "because that is what it actually does. He "relay" cell phone radio signals back and forth around obstacles suche as walls of the house and the metal body of the car.

Benefits * It works - if you have three bars in the window of your car or office, but only two bars on the inside of your mobile phone, you You use the MP to the strongest signal from your phone to.
* Compact - the whole package and in one case and provided both wall and car and all the cables and antenna.
* Easy to install - no menus or settings to adjust. no switches. Just plug everything in.
* Use clear instructions
* Well done and good accessories for mounting the antenna on the windows and magnetic. The booster unit itself can sit in your office or connected to an A / C vents in your car.

Cons * Advertising is a bit optimistic about the results. This does not signal that it is not. As described in the journal of reference, you are truly the best signal transmission locally on your phone from a few meters. That is, if you have one bar of signal in your area even if you go out and stand on a roof, you will not suddenly four bars legitimate to use this feature. Even if you hang up and then get the best local bars signal, it's not true, since the meter will be influenced by the cellular signal between the amplifier and the mobile phone. I think the member for Wilson to minimize this effect, but it's still there. So you can have three bars, when in fact you only one "real" bar at the reception like.

In my experience, I used the PM in both environments. The first was in my home office. I received the approval marginally acceptable in de meeting on my desk and the general would be at the window with my cell phone tower (Verizon Blackberry) a belangrijk tijdens call the gang was. I suggest the member within the window I used to sit back and then ran the antenna cable descent to my office near my flat panel monitor. This distance is about six meters, which is about the recommendation for use. In other words, the member does not work correctly if you place the antenna too close to the MP-mail. It took sixty seconds or more. MP Electronics takes the power of a mini-USB cable, as long as you can provide full support for USB on your PC, you can power the camera from the PC or the source supplied power. After installation, including removing my phone from my belt holster and quaint place alongside the MP, I could get the entire signal is available on the screen on my camera all the time. Now, you could say, "Hey, you have your head next to the phone on your desk? No, I have a bluetooth headset that I used with this setup, so I do not move the phone. Given the range of the MP phone is very small (about one meter per couple), you really need a wireless headset, since even a wired headset would be too restrictive.

The result was very good. I am very pleased to this thing on my desk holding my good contacts at all times. on average, it will signal a successful window on the handset, which means that a full three or four bars instead of one or two bars. Now, it is not absolutely a measure as "bars" are not really a unit level, but in practice this means that I no longer talks to break all my downloads BB emails quickly and all is well.

The second is the use in the car. I had a long "work" call, I knew I had to make during a trip to a family event. portion of the road would take us in marginal areas of the signal at the Highway 152 East, which is also known as Pacheco Pass, which you refer to the SF Bay Area. I got this way gereden many times, so I knew where clause zou me normaal a call to lose. The antenne was attached to The rear right window of our '06 Prius, so I cut the front passenger air module on the scoreboard. I had someone else drive while I talked to the passenger seat with my BT headset. Of course, this meant I had to have the antenna cable entry or leaving the car to watch because she was tense in the door. I think I could do better if I took some time with her, but the test was just to set up and go than there was. In all cases, the States once again linked a marginal connection OK. It seemed useless service. The places where I normally should eventually lose the signal no problem. It's different than saying "perfect" as clarity is a bit reduced. Yet it all together worked on a mission long ago, when I would say that "success" again. That said, I do not know if it is generally worthwhile. I think it depends on where you are going and how urgent it is for you to talk at this time.

In areas with a good signal (eg, consistent 3 bar) the State does not really make a difference, but that's what I would have expected. I had no sub-marginal areas of the "almost zero" bars to check, so I can not comment. I do not think I take the time to go and test and get it either. < br />

Conclusion If you have the need to route signals around small local cellular barriers described above, it is a good deal for you. Remember, it is not that the house more boosters that allow you to walk around your house with your phone. We have the phone next to the PM and you have a signal available on the location of the antenna. This is not rocket science but it is a good portable cell relay of all kinds. Make sure you have a signal to work, and it will work for you.Rating: 5 / 5
